On Tuesday, March 18, former Olympia High School standout Daniel Ortiz’s current college team, the Alabama State Hornets, lost 13-9 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Auburn Tigers.

The game took place at Hitchcock Field at Plainsman Park. This was their first matchup against the Tigers this season.

The Hornets’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 21 at 6 p.m. at Wheeler–Watkins Baseball Complex against Florida A&M Rattlers.
