County Of Osceola issued the following announcement on Oct. 19.
Commissioner Cheryl Grieb presents a proclamation from the Board of County Commissioners making October Domestic Violence Awareness Month on Monday. Help Now has a rally and walk scheduled for Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. in front of the County Courthouse. Help Now of Osceola provides safety, empowerment and healing for survivors of domestic violence and influence social change in the community.
The agency provides a temporary safe shelter for survivors of domestic abuse who are in danger and experience fear of abuse. If you are living in a domestic abuse situation, and are in fear for your safety, please call the hotline at 407-847-8562 to speak with an advocate about available options and resources.
