County Of Osceola issued the following announcement on Sep. 16.
A huge win for Osceola County and the Historic Osceola County Courthouse! We have secured a $108,000 grant from the Local Support Grant Program to continue preservation efforts.
Built back in 1889, the Historic Osceola County Courthouse is the oldest courthouse in continuous use in the state. Thanks to the grant, a state-recognized preservation architect will be brought in to help ensure it remains a staple in the community for generations to come! The grant work is expected to be done within the next 12 months.
