County Of Osceola issued the following announcement on Aug. 16.
Osceola District 4 County Commissioner Cheryl Grieb made a check presentation to the Rev. Mary Lee Downey for $500,000 in targeted recovery effort dollars to help the HOPE Partnership convert a local, existing hotel into affordable apartment units. The conversion will help provide Osceola County residents with affordable, safe, decent and attainable places to live.
When the County received American Rescue Plan dollars, the commission laid out a plan to address the needs of residents in a variety of ways, including education and training, infrastructure, transportation, assistance for veterans, and more.
