County Of Osceola issued the following announcement on Jan. 24.
Congratulations to Osceola County Corrections Officer Frank Marzano and Officer Richard Kowing, who earned Heroes of the Year Awards from the Knights of Columbus St. Cloud/Kissimmee Council 6624, during their annual Heroes Night event, last week.
Officers Marzano and Kowing jumped in to help a Melbourne Beach Police officer who was riding his motorcycle to work when a deer darted in front of him, causing him to crash with serious injuries. A hero is never off duty! Job well done!
