City of St. Cloud: St. Cloud Solid Waste customers will see a slight rate increase

Solidwaste

City of St. Cloud issued the following announcement on Jan. 05.

St. Cloud Solid Waste customers will see a slight rate increase, effective Feb. 1. The increases are part of a phased increase approved by City Council in 2019.

Residential and curbside collection will increase 39 cents, to $20.41 per month. Commercial Dumpster collection will increase to $6.86 per cubic yard per collection, from its current rate of $6.73 per cubic yard per collection.

The rate increases are intended to cover rising operational and landfill costs. Council chose to implement them over a period of five years to help mitigate the impact on customers. This is the third of those five scheduled rate increases.
