County Of Osceola issued the following announcement on Dec. 22.
CLOSURE NOTICE: Beginning Monday, December 27, Osceola's SENSES Park ( 2296 Camelia Drive in Buenaventura Lakes) will be temporarily closed to allow for the installation of shade structures. Officials do not expect the process to take long but a re-opening date is not known at this time.
Archie Gordon Memorial Park, also in Buenaventura Lakes, remains closed for annual maintenance. The park is scheduled to re-open in the first week of January. Residents are encouraged to continue to use 65th Infantry Park for walking and other related outdoor activities.
Because league activity pauses during the holidays, the County used this time to repair sod on the fields, the trails and the restrooms. Archie Gordon Memorial Park is located at 420 Buenaventura Boulevard.
