County Of Osceola issued the following announcement on July 21.
July is Sarcoma Awareness Month and Osceola County Corrections staff has been showing their support for those who suffer from what is often called the “Forgotten Cancer.” Throughout the month, staff has worn yellow shirts, bracelets and ribbons to help raise awareness for this rare cancer type that occurs in adults but is a frequent cancer type in children and young adults.
They also hosted a car wash and raised $1,500 for the fight against cancer.
