Cost of college went down for all students at Southern Technical College

Tuition and fees fell 10.3 percent for 2018-19 at Southern Technical College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Florida students paid $12,924 to attend the four-year private for-profit institution this year – $1,476 less than the $14,400 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 67 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 32 students received grants or scholarships totaling $117,957 and 36 students took out student loans totaling more than $159,459.

Including all undergraduates (858), 678 students used grants or scholarships totaling $2.3 million, and 723 students took out $1.9 million in federal student loans.
